Manuella Doré Craniosacral Therapist
Now in Luxembourg
Craniosacral Therapy is a method of assessment and treatment that aims to remove obstacles that the normal physiological system cannot balance so that it regains its natural freedom of movement and a restored rhythm: it thus accompanies the body in its natural "self-correcting" role.
The term "craniosacral" means that this gentle therapy encompasses all the bones from the skull to the sacrum. It balances the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid that bathes the brain and all the nerves of the spinal cord.
It is effective for: headaches, migraine, tinnitus, vertigo, etc. All other pathologies can be actively treated. Notable results have been seen in stress, anxiety, repeated infections, fertility problems, tinnitus, back pain, reflux in babies, lack of sleep, memory, concentration, joint issues, and many others.
The practitioner places his hands on the fully dressed body of the patient with a pressure of 5g (except on certain organs but I ask permission). Your body reacts to this sensitive touch by starting to listen to itself.
The feeling of having been heard in the true sense of the word is a common experience during and after a CST session.
Infants, babies, children, young workers, pregnant women, adults and senior can benefit from this practice which is not yet refounded by the CNS or the private insurance companies (in Switzerland it is, so I have good hope).
A Bit About Therapy
During a session, you will be invited to lie down on a treatment table, fully clothed and I will make a light, gentle touch to various parts of your body (such as your feet, head, sacrum, back, and so on). I will ask for your consent prior to the treatment or during the treatment before touching you.
I will be listening to your body through a sensitive awareness of the shapes and patterns that are occurring in the space between my hands, palpating sensations, subtle movements and areas of restriction. Whatever you feel, it is welcomed and received as part of your therapeutic process.
Some people may experience a deep sense of rest or may become aware of sensations in their body, such as heat, or feeling very cold, or sometimes tightness in a certain area, or tingling sensations. Some people are not aware of any sensations or feeling. There is no right or wrong way to experience Craniosacral Therapy.
I am there to help facilitate the healing process in any way that feels clinically appropriate, holding an intention to resolve imbalances in the system and support your body’s intrinsic capacity for self-repair and integration. Integration is at the heart of well-being and emotional balance.

Services I Offer
Individual Therapy
A Happier, Healthier You
A session last about an hour, during the very first session I will take your case history and you will tell me what made you come. You will then lie on the treatment table fully clothed and I will start the treatment. I generally don’t talk much, only to ask if I can put my hand under or on different part of your body. At the end we exchange, I tell you where I felt blockages and you can tell me what you felt too.
Parent(s) and Baby Therapy
Babies and chrildren need to always be with at least a parent
The earlier you get treatment the quicker you heal. Babies respond really well to CST.
“Birth is one of the most stressful events of our lives. The baby is subjected to enormous forces, as the uterus pushes to expel the baby against the natural resistance of the birth canal. The baby has to turn and twist as it squeezes through the bony pelvis, on its short but highly stimulating and potentially stressful journey.” William Sutherland
All these pressure and tensions can block nerves between the bones of the skulls, baby’s bones are not fused yet so it is a good time to have CST, before the bones fused and block nerves or compress them.
Feeding difficulties can most tome be resolved in a session by releasing the tension in babies jaw.
General benefits: Reduced colicky crying,
improved sleep,
less unsettled,
less irritable behaviour,
easier feedings.
I do not manipulate the skull, I just gently touch the head and sometimes it is not necessary because babies are so sensitive that they can be treated at a bit of a distance.
My Story
I come from Brittany in France where, when you are repeatedly sick, have an accident, are burnt or twist your ankle, you go to a healer, a person who has a gift of fire. I have experienced this several times and always with great success. A healer recommended that I try to learn but I was young and ignored him for several years, then I met a craniosacral practitioner and with a Baccalaureate S, a BTS and a few years of work, I decided to go back to school, I joined the College of Cranio Sacral Therapy in London. I learned about anatomy, the links between all parts of the mind and body, integration!
CHRONIC STRESS
Chronic stress can be terrible on your body. When your body senses that you're in danger, it sets off a complex series of hormonal processes known as the "Fight or Flight" response. Because most time we don't fight or flight (run away) our bodies are confused, the digestive system stops working for a while until we calm down. When it happens often we get digestive problems such as gastritis, IBS, reflux, etc. Craniosacral therapy will help you going back to a quiet state and your body will function normally.
